FREE creative writing S.T.E.A.M. workshops designed to be fun, creative, expressive, and exciting project-based, hands-on learning that support the Common Core Standards. Children will be separated by ages 8-10, 11-13, and 14-17. All workshops are ran by The Watering Hole.

The first workshop is part of the Deckle Edge Book Festival.

Summer 2015

The Watering Hole Poetry Organization, in partnership with Kara’s Well, the nexus point of self improvement & community development, and Allen University, one of the oldest HBCU’s in the south, presents Inspirations Academy. The Summer Camp is called “Back to School with S.T.E.A.M.” and it prepares students to return to the classroom while providing them with summertime fun. This program will present the best the southeast has to offer in curriculum, artist residency, and community covering the subjects of:

Science – technology, biology, and urban development
Technology – computer engineering, web development, programming
Engineering – project management, planning design, and creation
Arts – theater, poetry, art, performance and public speaking
Math – grade appropriate review and advancement

Spaces are filling up. Register by June 15th and we waive the registration fee ($25 SAVINGS)!

Tuition is $100 per week or $380 for all 4 weeks.
